Position Information
Banner Position Number R10904 Position Title ECCAT Coach Classification Title Department June Harless Center - RC2390 Job Description
Description: Provides statewide professional learning, coaching, and instructional support to counties by delivering training, developing resources, and strengthening teacher-ECCAT collaboration to improve classroom practice.
Core responsibilities include:
Deliver regional in-person and ongoing virtual professional learning; provide county-requested trainings aligned to identified needs
Develop, revise, and produce instructional materials and statewide support videos
Conduct annual county visits and provide classroom-based coaching (e.g., read-alouds, small-group instruction, standards-based teaching, and ECCAT role clarity)
Support effective teacher-ECCAT collaboration and transition services from foundational professional development to sustainable, job-embedded coaching
Document services, collect implementation data and stakeholder feedback, and contribute to data review and statewide reporting efforts
Maintain consistent communication and coordination with county leadership, partners, and the ECCAT Coordinator
Travel statewide across all 55 counties with a focus on the southern part of WV
Perform other duties as assigned by WVDE
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years teaching experience
Experience in PreK-3 settings

Content Knowledge
Content knowledge in WV PreK Standards (Ages 3-5)
WV College & Career Readiness Standards (K-3)
Science of Reading
Early numeracy development
Developmentally appropriate practice
Small group and high quality read aloud

Skills & Competencies
Ability to facilitate professional learning in-person and virtually

Location OTHR - Other Off-Campus Location Salary Range 60,000-70,000; Salary is commensurate upon education, experience and internal equity
