PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL
Job Title: WV Impact+ School-based Literacy Coach
Location: Anna Jarvis Elementary School




Employment Term: 210 days
Funding: WV Impact+ Grant

Salary:  Salary based on experience and education level per TCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:



  • LETRS trained or currently enrolled in the LETRS training program
  • Fully certified K-6 Elementary Teacher
  • Minimum of five successful years of K-5 teaching experience required
  • Ability to attend mandatory WVDE position training on July 20-22, 2026 in Charleston
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Coaching experience preferred
  • Experience facilitating school-centered coaching cycles preferred
  • Experience with school-level data collection and accountability for grant reporting preferred
  • Experience in supporting adult learners preferred


SUMMARY
Responsible for providing school-based professional learning and support to staff following the student-centered coaching cycle





Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, modeling, and training to K-5 staff
  • Maintain data collection and documentation of support
  • Facilitate meetings with teachers and principals
  • Provide instructional support
  • Facilitate or participate in PLCs
  • Support teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy practices
  • Model and co-teach high-yield strategies
  • Support collaborative planning
  • Analyze instructional and student data with teachers
  • Collaborate with principals to strengthen Tier 1 instruction
  • Conduct classroom walkthrough with constructive feedback
  • Provide targeted professional development
  • Follow WVDE monitoring protocols for initiative implementation
  • Participate in WVDE coordinated mentoring and professional development
