THE ROLE
The Group Sales Representative is responsible for driving ticket revenue across Georgia Tech Football, Men's Basketball, and Baseball, with a primary emphasis on football group ticket sales. While group inventory will be the core focus, this is a full-menu sales role including season tickets, mini-plans, premium offerings, and single-game products.
This position requires a self-motivated, competitive sales professional who thrives in a high-activity environment and is committed to generating new business while servicing and growing existing accounts. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, disciplined in prospecting, and motivated to exceed revenue goals. Reporting to the Director, Ticket Sales & Service, this role is part of an integrated ticket sales team and works closely with the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Georgia Tech Athletic Ticket Office, and Marketing team to drive group revenue across the Atlanta market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Generate revenue through the sale of group tickets, season tickets, mini-plans, premium seating, and hospitality packages for Georgia Tech Football, Men's Basketball, and Baseball.
  • Utilize outbound prospecting and community engagement strategies to supplement sales calls, virtual presentations, in-venue tours, and face-to-face appointments.
  • Develop relationships with Atlanta-area businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, military groups, nonprofits, and alumni networks with the goal of securing new group sales revenue.
  • Manage and grow a yearly book of business through upselling, cross-sport selling, referrals, excellent customer service, and thoughtful retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with ticket operations, development, marketing, and fan experience teams to develop and execute theme nights and group experiences.
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce CRM, Paciolan ticketing system, and outreach automation to document activity, track pipeline, and forecast revenue.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and game days to support clients and sales initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of sales experience within sports industry preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls, emails, and text messages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively prospect, influence, and close new business.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; coachable and open to feedback.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and game days.
  • Experience with CRM, ticketing platforms, and sales automation tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications, or related field is a plus.
