Job description

Overview

Join a company with 28 years of proven success and a strong local reputation. You will generate sales, work directly with customers, and coordinate projects from sale to completion. This is a 100% commission based role ideal for a self-driven professional with prior sales experience. Since 1998, Excel has built a steady flow of leads, projects, and repeat customers, giving our sales team consistent opportunities to earn. You’ll have the backing of an experienced, supportive team, and proven processes that make it easier to focus on selling and coordinating successful projects. Our company services Harford, Cecil, and Baltimore Counties.

We are looking for a sales professional with at least (2) years of sales experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to discuss their fencing and/or decking needs
  • Perform site visits and take measurements (scheduled site visits will range from Monday-Saturday; Saturday availability is a must)
  • Prepare and present project estimate(s) to customers
  • Manage customer follow-up and close sales
  • Coordinate projects from contract signing through to completion
  • Ensure job details are accurate
  • Maintain contact with your customers
  • Maintain organized records, paperwork, documentation, etc. regarding customers and projects

Skills/Qualifications

  • Sales experience is required (construction or home improvement based experiences are a plus)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong closing skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customers at a time
  • Comfortable using email and basic computer tools
  • Prior fencing and/or decking knowledge is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must
