Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineering Consulting Professional - IV
Job Title: Data Center PSC Capacity Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center PSC (Power, Space, Cooling) Capacity Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing daily network equipment installation requests across data centers, ensuring optimal utilization of power, space, and cooling resources. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in data center infrastructure, layout optimization, and PSC systems, and will work closely with PSC Capacity Engineers to manage a portfolio of facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve/reject network equipment installation requests based on PSC availability.
  • Utilize enterprise-wide tools to assess power, space, and cooling capacity.
  • Maintain and update floor plans, rack layouts, and power assignments daily.
  • Optimize data center layout for airflow, power distribution, and space utilization.
  • Collaborate with PSC Capacity Planners and cross-functional teams on system design and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC and internal standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and documentation for stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills:
  • 5-7+ years in data center engineering, operations, or critical infrastructure.
  • Expertise in AC/DC power systems (UPS, ATS, PDUs, RPPs, etc.).
  • Strong experience with overhead bus ducting systems.
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems, airflow management, and hot/cold aisle containment.
  • Familiarity with DCIM tools (e.g., Sunbird DC Track).
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling (fiber/copper).
  • Experience with AutoCAD and electrical design documentation.
  • Deep knowledge of NEMA receptacles, fuse/circuit breaker sizing, and secondary power feeds.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with PSC resource forecasting and balancing.
  • Ability to manage PSC supply-demand alignment for optimal performance.
  • Certifications in electrical or data center engineering are a plus.
Education & Certifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
