Role Description: The Freelance California PE – EV Infrastructure Noise & Vibration Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Orange County, CA. This role focuses on assessing, modeling, and mitigating noise and vibration impacts associated with EV charging facilities and related electrical infrastructure. Day-to-day work includes conducting site evaluations, reviewing design documents, performing technical analyses, and preparing professional engineering reports that comply with California codes and local ordinances. The consultant collaborates with internal project teams, architects, civil and electrical engineers, and local authorities to recommend design modifications or mitigation measures that address community and regulatory concerns. Responsibilities also include providing stamped documentation where required, participating in stakeholder meetings, and supporting permitting and approval processes for new or upgraded EV infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license in a relevant discipline (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical) and eligibility to sign and stamp engineering documents.
  • Demonstrated experience in noise and vibration analysis for infrastructure, transportation, or energy projects, including modeling, measurement, and mitigation design.
