Job description

GRADUATE STUDENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT INTERN, Career Advising & Professional Development (CAPD) - Graduate Student Professional Development, helps graduate students build professional competencies; supports the expansion of graduate professional development programming by helping administer a portfolio of certificate programs and handling recruitment, applications, participant communication, and progress tracking toward certificate completion; and assists with program implementation, assessment, data collection, and reporting, helping expand graduate students' access to and preparation for diverse careers. This role suits a graduate student interested in higher education administration experience. Will administer certificate program application cycles, coordinate admissions, and help calibrate evaluation for consistency; and manage acceptances and waitlists, responding promptly to applicant inquiries; coordinate logistics for certificate sessions, including speakers/facilitators (payment, travel, campus support); track participant progress through completion, including certificate presentation; support program assessment and data reporting; create written/visual communications for students, faculty, and staff across platforms; support broader Grad PD events and contribute ideas for program growth; apply culturally responsive practices serving MIT's diverse, multinational community; and foster an inclusive work environment.
