This full-time role enables you to work remotely while delivering essential counseling services primarily to individuals facing mental health challenges, including substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing for a perfect work-life balance. While the majority of your responsibilities will be conducted from home, occasional in-office meetings may be held at our outpatient facility in Reading, PA. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients' needs and developing tailored treatment plans that address their unique challenges.
• Providing one-on-one counseling sessions that help clients explore their thoughts and feelings while developing coping skills.
• Facilitating group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and shared experiences among participants.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client records and treatment progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling and therapeutic methodologies.

The primary client population served by Berks Counseling Center includes adults aged 18 and older who are struggling with a variety of issues related to mental health and substance abuse. Our team is equipped to treat individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring disorders, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care that acknowledges the complexity of each patient's experience. Your role will be integral in supporting these individuals on their path to recovery, thereby significantly contributing to improved mental health outcomes within the community.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Pennsylvania.
• A Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a counseling role, preferably in an outpatient or community mental health setting.

While not a requirement, candidates who are bilingual are highly encouraged to apply, as this skill can enhance communication with a diverse client base. Experience with group therapy facilitation and familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches will also be viewed favorably.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $52,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
