Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco.ย  Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods.ย 

Kentfield Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including cardiac care, neuro recovery, respiratory support, advanced wound care and physical/occupational therapy.ย  ย  Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan designed to support their unique recovery journey.ย ย

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the education and development needs of the facility with an emphasis on clinical/staff competency. Ensures programs are in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and the Joint Commission and where applicable, CARF standards. Generates and maintains evidence of competency and education documentation on hospital staff. Develops and assists with department specific and/or staff specific education, orientation, and provides teaching and coaching on hospital practices and policies to all employees. Works with external agencies to coordinate student placement. Shares responsibility for effective onboarding and orientation of new staff.

This is a full time position based in our Kentfield facility.ย 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. Minimum three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse required. Minimum one (1) year acute care experience required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.ย 

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidateโ€™s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered byย Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital.
