Carpet Cleaning Technician Job Description

Position Overview:
The Carpet Cleaning Technician is responsible for providing professional carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and related services to both residential and commercial clients. This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality results, maintaining equipment, and adhering to company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning Services:

    • Perform carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, and stain removal using appropriate equipment and techniques.
    • Pre-treat and spot-clean carpets to address stains, heavy traffic areas, and other specific customer concerns.
    • Apply protective treatments (e.g., Scotchgard) when requested by the customer.
  2. Customer Interaction:

    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for services.
    • Educate customers on proper carpet and upholstery care for long-lasting results.
    • Handle customer inquiries or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  3. Equipment and Maintenance:

    • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as truck-mounted systems, portable machines, and hand tools.
    • Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Maintain inventory of cleaning products, tools, and supplies.
  4. Safety and Compliance:

    • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure personal and customer safety.
    • Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations regarding the use of chemicals and equipment.
  5. Operational Support:

    • Load and unload cleaning equipment and supplies from the company vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate and maintain carpet cleaning equipment.
