Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Prospect for new logo opportunities from targeted call lists provided by AVI-SPL and third party resources.

·         Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on perspective client’s business and needs

·         Work with Management primarily to utilize resources such as data mining products, purchased lists and secondarily online public resources such as LinkedIn, Construction Websites, Local Business Journals to uncover potential clients

·         Contacting potential clients primarily via phone to establish rapport, present the AVI-SPL value proposition and either set up a meeting as a qualified lead for an Account Manager (AM) or hand the prospect to an AM to work as a qualified lead.

·         Partner with management to identify appropriate markets and potential clients to pursue.

·         Collaborate with management, sales, product management and manufacturing partners and others to understand products and services to introduce to prospects.

·         Identify if lead meets BANT (Budget, Authority, Need and Timing) criteria and is ready for sales engagement

·         Obtain accurate customer contact information such as name, address, email, and phone number; update lead records, and enter opportunities into CRM

·         Conduct scheduled business reviews with your manager and Branch Managers to discuss the status of leads forwarded to sales

·         Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

·         Ability to understand the working of the modern workplace and customers’ issues as it relates to our business.

·         A basic understanding and comfort level with audio visual, information technology and unified communications solutions.

·         Ability to make a high volume of telephone calls every day.

·         Ability to communicate in a business-like fashion.

·         Ability to deliver an online AVI-SPL Profile and Value Proposition Power Point presentation over a unified communications platform such as Microsoft Teams.

·         Needs to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.

·         Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.

·         Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills.

·         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion

·         Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work within a CRM

·         Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

·         Minimum High school diploma or equivalent

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business or in similar or related field a plus

·         Minimum 2 years prior sales or telemarketing experience preferred; experience in the Audio Visual or Technology field desirable
