Job description

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you'll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role can be done from home

Building the world's leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That's why we've been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices around the globe. This role can be done from any of our offices across the United States remotely from home. It's about impact, not location.

The Latin American team is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager, Professional Audio to identify, develop, and support new business opportunities for our specialized audio solutions in the residential and light commercial markets. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of audio technology and a proven track record of success in sales and business development within the region and Mexico in particular.

What You'll Do

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the residential and light commercial audio markets.

  • Technical Sales Support: Provide expert technical and sales assistance to dealers, particularly for large-scale projects.

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strategic partnerships with distributors and custom installation dealers.

  • Training: Deliver comprehensive technical training sessions to distributors and dealers, covering product innovations, audio principles, and advanced audio solutions.

  • Marketing and Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns highlighting the company's technical capabilities and unique value proposition.

  • Industry Events: Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry gatherings to enhance brand recognition and generate prospective leads.

  • Forecast Guidance: Acquire in-depth knowledge of partner businesses to provide market insights and contribute to precise sales forecasting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years' experience selling consumer electronics thru distributors and dealers in Latin America and Mexico in particular

  • Good understanding of professional audio sales channels, including distributors, dealers, and systems integrators

  • Excellent relationship-building skills

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to change

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. If you don't have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.

Visa Sponsorship: Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time. We ask that applicants be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
