General Summary

Responsible for planning, supervising, and scheduling television production operations and supervising technical staff.

Essential Responsibilities, Duties, and Tasks


The primary duty of the person in this position is to perform the following tasks in accordance with Company policies, guidelines, and procedures:


  • Directs the audio and visual components of live and recorded broadcasts using production equipment and automated production systems.
  • Interacts with internal company personnel, as well as various trainers/instructors with diverse personalities and delivery experience.
  • Communicates effectively with production and training personnel, both internally and externally.
  • Provides direction and schedules the technical team for studio production events.
  • Promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Materials and equipment used: various studio and control room television equipment, computers, and information technology-related equipment.
  • Monitors video transmission equipment and troubleshoots technical issues, ensuring all equipment is ready for broadcast.
  • Trains control room staff on the proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Plans the technical aspects of a production, ensuring that equipment is ready and technical checks are completed before production begins.
  • Any other task or responsibility required by the supervisor for the operation of the channel.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related area.
  • 5 years of experience working in television production.
  • Experience supervising staff and union personnel.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpretive communication in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different personalities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
