THE WORK
As a Production Control Support Specialist, you will manage material requirements and availability to ensure the steady manufacture of industrial and commercial products. Working within the production control framework, you will coordinate across procurement and engineering departments to maintain flow and resolve potential shortages.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage schedules for material requirements and availability to support seamless production control.
• Compile and maintain detailed records regarding the quantity, cost, and type of materials received, shipped, and held in inventory.
• Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments to align with strict production and shipping schedules.
• Identify actual or potential material shortages and initiate corrective actions to prevent production delays.
• Leverage cross-functional knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering to alert leadership of potential problems and implement remedial actions.
• Estimate and log production rates and time expenditures to establish operation sequences and meet critical shipping dates.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including Macros, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas, to manage data.
• Apply technical knowledge of SAP CES and Solumina to support production workflows.
• Employ barcode location tracking systems, such as Lab Asset Tracker, to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Provide informal leadership and mentorship to junior personnel while performing routine tasks independently.
• Maintain impeccable organization and data entry accuracy to ensure high-quality reporting.
• Proactively identify operational challenges and take ownership of spearheading effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications
• Generally has 3 years of related experience and holds a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a comprehensive understanding of general & technical aspects of the job; applies knowledge to solve common problems and handle typical situations.
• Ability to work with loads of up to 40 lb.
• Can work standing for several hours.
• Autonomy: works with limited supervision; routine tasks are performed independently, while new or non-routine assignments receive only general guidance. Provides informal leadership and mentorship to junior personnel.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite-particularly Excel (macros, pivot tables, formulas, concatenation, comparisons, etc.).
• Basic SAP CES and Solumina understanding.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $42,400 - $74,750. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
