What you can expect as a Production Control Assistant at DAS Aviation:
The Production Control Assistant supports the Production Control Coordinator in coordinating and expediting the flow of work, communication, materials, and documentation within and between departments. This position assists with the preparation, processing, tracking, and distribution of work orders and production documentation to ensure jobs move efficiently through the production process in accordance with established schedules, company procedures, and customer requirements.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Production Control & Administration
  • Assist the Production Control Coordinator with daily production-control activities and administrative functions.
  • Assist with reviewing, preparing, updating, and distributing daily production reports, status reports, ship lists, and other tracking tools.
  • Maintain accurate work order status, department location, priority, estimated completion dates, and other required information within company systems and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and hard-copy production records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Workflow & Documentation
  • Prepare, print, assemble, and distribute work order packages and production documentation to appropriate departments.
  • Submit and track Engineering Service Requests (ESRs), ensuring required information and documentation are included.
  • Monitor the status and movement of work orders throughout the production process.
  • Follow up with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments regarding job status, scheduling, and outstanding requirements.
  • Perform final review and auditing of completed job folders to verify documentation is complete, accurate, signed, and organized.
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and communicate discrepancies to the Coordinator or appropriate department.
  • Scan completed job folders and supporting documentation to designated network drives in accordance with company procedures.

What you'll need to bring with you:
Your Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Your Experience
Previous experience in aviation, manufacturing, production, or administrative environment is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Existing understanding of aircraft repair processes is a plus (or a strong willingness to learn).
Your Initiative
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Dependable, procedural mindset with the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and personnel.
