Title: Product Support Coordinator

About the Role:

The Product Support Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and usability of the company's product databases across Solomon, Oracle CPQ, and SAP. This position is primarily responsible for product data entry, validation, categorization, and ongoing maintenance to ensure that sales, operations, and other business functions have access to reliable product information.

The coordinator works closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, product management, and strategic supplier partners, to collect, update, and maintain product information. Responsibilities include creating and updating product descriptions, assigning product categories and attributes, maintaining estimating and configuration data, and ensuring consistency across multiple business systems. Through careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills, the Product Support Coordinator supports operational efficiency, quote accuracy, and successful project execution throughout the organization.

Position Duties:

  • Maintain and update product data within Solomon, Oracle CPQ, and SAP systems.
  • Create, modify, and validate product descriptions, categories, pricing information, and product attributes.
  • Maintain estimating and configuration-related product information used by sales and operations teams.
  • Review product records for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with strategic suppliers to gather product information, specifications, updates, and changes.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, operations, procurement, and supplier partners regarding product database requirements.
  • Research and resolve data discrepancies, inaccuracies, and product-related issues.
  • Monitor and process requests for new product creation, product updates, and product discontinuations.
  • Generate reports and support data analysis activities using Microsoft Office and enterprise systems.
  • Document processes and maintain records related to product data management activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, operational efficiency, and product management processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining product, pricing, or inventory databases.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, CPQ, or business management systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, data validation, filtering, and reporting.
  • Experience working with product catalogs, estimating systems, or configuration tools.
  • Previous experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, or distribution partners.
  • Knowledge of electronic security, construction, technology products, or related industries.

 Skills:

The Product Support Coordinator must possess strong data entry and organizational skills to accurately maintain product information across multiple enterprise systems. Attention to detail is critical when entering and validating product descriptions, categories, pricing structures, and estimating attributes. Effective communication skills are essential for working with sales teams, operations personnel, and strategic suppliers to gather information and resolve discrepancies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is required for reporting, analysis, and day-to-day coordination activities. While advanced Excel knowledge is not required, experience using features such as Pivot Tables and data analysis tools is highly desirable. Success in this role requires a commitment to accuracy, a customer-service mindset, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a dedication to maintaining high-quality product data that supports business operations and sales effectiveness.
