Job description

GNB Global Inc. is a manufacturing and construction services company specializing in engineered steel framed fabric tensioned buildings. As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our exciting team in a fast-paced environment. Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and schedule production orders
  • Schedule production orders on a daily/weekly basis across all production departments
  • Ensure work orders are started in a timely manner
  • Work with department managers to ensure work order start times are as accurate as possible
  • Correct or adjust ERP when work schedules change
  • Ensure work orders are completed and closed in a timely manner prior to shipment
  • Ensure issues with production orders are addressed ASAP to achieve expected production flow
  • Ensure issues with employee clock in/out of work orders daily are addressed immediately
  • Elevate problems or priority conflicts to Materials Manager as necessary to achieve expected production flow
  • Maintain a clean, organized and professional workspace
  • Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in production planning, including developing and managing schedules and utilizing planning software
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize production
  • Proactive problem solving skills to identify and resolve production issues and disruptions
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with the steel industry, including materials, processes, and supply chain dynamics, preferred but not required
