Help Deliver the Kalahari Experience
Kalahari Manufacturing is a division of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions which acts as our theming company. The "Kalahari Theme Shop" - located next to our corporate headquarters in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin - is key to our success and what helps our brand stand out. Our 20,000 square foot complex houses a plethora of modern technology pieces. The fully commercial metal shop has all the resources needed for our artists to create all our scenic needs. Also included is a full carpentry shop, 3-D modeling computer workstations, foam cutting and carving station featuring laser engraving capabilities, full paint shop, modern welding machinery, full vinyl fabrication equipment and UL certified sign shop.
Theme Shop Production Painter
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Production Painter. Ready to splash your creativity across our resorts, waterparks, and theme parks? With your eye for quality and attention to detail, you could be a part of bringing our projects to life. In this role you will prepare, and paint surfaces as needed to meet project deadlines while adhering to the quality expectations. As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.
Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mix various paint components to balance and acquire the corresponding shade required.
  • Prepare surfaces, parts and materials by cleaning, sanding and doing light body work.
  • Spray paint signage, items, parts and materials with polyurethane paints using HVLP sprayers.
  • Must be proficient in the use of various HVLP wet coat paint systems used for applying industrial production coatings.
  • Paint intricate surfaces and small/ large parts, sometimes using a ladder or walk board.
  • Ensure painted products do not have any runs, sags, debris or other defects while applying coats in uniform thickness.
  • Operate hand and power tools as needed
  • Ensure that quality control standards are met

  • A background, consisting of 5 years' proven experience as a production painter or similar role
  • Knowledge of painting equipment and mixing paint products.
  • Ability to do physical work; stand, lift, repetitive motion, etc.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve
