Job description

Job Title: Interior Painter – Residential Construction


Job Description:

Elite Drywall and Taping Inc. is seeking an experienced Interior Painter to join our growing residential construction team. We specialize in high-quality interior renovations, drywall installation, finishing, and painting throughout the Bay Area. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented painter who takes pride in delivering clean, professional results.

The ideal candidate has experience with residential interior painting, surface preparation, and working alongside other trades on remodeling projects. This position requires someone who can work independently, maintain a clean job site, and complete projects with excellent attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform interior painting for residential remodels, renovations, and new construction projects
  • Prepare surfaces including sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and priming
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as needed
  • Perform touch-ups and ensure high-quality finished surfaces
  • Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and finished areas during work
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Coordinate with project managers, drywall crews, and other trades
  • Follow company quality standards and job site safety requirements


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of residential interior painting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of paint preparation, primers, coatings, and application techniques
  • Experience painting drywall, trim, doors, ceilings, and cabinets is a plus
  • Ability to achieve smooth, professional finishes
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to different job sites
  • Must have good communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishes
  • Experience with new construction and high-end residential remodels
  • Knowledge of spray finishing techniques
  • Ability to identify drywall imperfections before painting


Compensation:
$25–$40 per hour depending on experience and skill level.
