Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to attain specific goals and measurable results.

  1. Ensure accuracy within warehouse operations.

  1. Establish, monitor, and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in strict compliance with government regulations and Company policies

  1. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.

  1. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of warehouse operations and personnel.

  1. Train and develop supervisors, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates

  1. Successful interaction between other departments within the distribution center

  1. Implement best practices in managing inventories using a warehouse management system

  1. Ability to effectively manage personnel to ensure productivity

  1. Ability to work effectively in a range of temperatures down to -20 degrees.

Qualifications:
  1. High school graduate

  1. College Degree strongly preferred

  1. 10+ years of distribution and warehouse experience in grocery wholesale industry.

  1. Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA, EPA, safety regulations, sanitation, and food safety as required for warehouse operations

  1. Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.

  1. Strong knowledge of engineered labor standards preferred

  1. Excellent written and oral interpersonal/communication skills

  1. Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred for successful leadership.

  1. Strong ability to chart, forecast, plan, manage, and measure day-to-day operations.

  1. Able to effectively interact with multiple levels within the company.

  1. Excellent planning and organizational skills

  1. Exhibits initiative, customer service skills, and resourcefulness.

  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Access

  1. Ability to apply internal control practices

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
