Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the plant.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily plant operations as directed by the Plant Manager.
  • Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Manages and directs the operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Maintains cleanliness of plant at all times and at end of shift.
  • Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a plant operation or related environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise/manage others in an industrial/manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or college coursework preferred.
  • Work well with others in a team; demonstrates leadership ability.
  • Highly organized; superior time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task.
  • Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, & crouch.
  • Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
