Job description

Responsible for working in various positions throughout the day. This individual has a working knowledge of all processes throughout the plant and can perform various functions. The Production Assistant has no assigned job other than to be placed where he/she is needed.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Producing high-quality finished goods and ensuring efficient and safe machine operation

  • Following all Company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Able to perform all necessary functions to ensure production keeps moving.

  • Responsible for learning all processes to perform in the Floater position.

  • Responsible for maintaining and cleaning the work area.

  • Responsible for cleaning materials to be processed as finished goods.

  • Assembles orders that are processed (standard items) together to be shipped.

  • Perform the duties of production forklift operator as needed.


Qualifications


  • Work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.

  • Must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of seventy pounds

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • A great sense of humor

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time


Work Environment: Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, and vibration.  Noise Level: Medium Loud


Position Type/Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience


  • High School Diploma/GED


Salary/Benefits:  FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Based on experience.
