Santa Monica Seafood - Denver, COย 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the Denver facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of seafood products. This position will lead production employees, including cutters and packers, while driving improvements in yield, quality, productivity, and operational consistency.

The Production Supervisor will work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Inventory, and Logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining food safety standards and minimizing waste.


Salary Range:ย $70,000 - $85,000 DOEย 

Schedule:ย Sunday - Fridayย 


Essential Responsibilities

Production Operations & Team Leadershipย 

  • Supervise daily production activities including seafood cutting, portioning, trimming, packaging, and staging.
  • Lead and manage production employees, including cutters, packers, and support personnel.
  • Assign daily production tasks based on priorities, customer needs, inventory levels, and staffing.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and identify training opportunities.
  • Ensure production schedules are completed accurately and on time.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Cutter Oversight & Yield Managementย 

  • Oversee cutters to ensure proper cutting techniques, product specifications, and customer requirements are followed.
  • Monitor cutter performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Track product yields by item, species, and production batch.
  • Review yield results and identify opportunities to improve recovery and reduce product loss.
  • ย Ensure product is being processed according to established trim standards and specifications.
  • Investigate yield variances and work with management to implement corrective actions.

Inventory Control & Product Management

  • Monitor production inventory levels and communicate shortages or excess inventory.
  • Ensure proper lot tracking, labeling, and traceability procedures are followed.

  • Partner with Food Safety/Quality teams on inspections, corrective actions, and process improvements.
