Job description

* Experienced industrial mechanics with strong mechanical aptitude for piping and heavy industrial equipment.
Position Details:
* Start Date: As soon as possible, with all positions filled by August 3, 2026
* Schedule: 6 / 10"s | Shift Mon-Sat (Start Time varies based on projects - 5AM, 6AM, or 7AM and possible Sundays as needed)
* Employment: Contracted - 9+ Month (with potential to go long-term)
* Location: Newport Delaware
* Compensation: $25 - $45 / hour - Based on Experience
The Industrial Mechanic performs a variety of tasks to support operations on mechanical project job sites. Job tasks will include activities such as material handling, tool and equipment maintenance, pipe fitting, flanging, machine operations, saw operations, operating metal forming equipment. This employee will be expected to meet productivity, safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualification- High School Diploma
* Exceptional mechanical aptitude and safety awareness
* Broad knowledge and experience working in industrial petro/chemical and commercial construction environments
* Ability to use all types of hand and power tools
* Ability to read blueprints
* Strong mathematical skills
* Able to follow directions, instructions and procedures
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Position, join, align, and seal pipe, spools, and structural components; assist operators in the alignment and movement of machinery, equipment, and materials.
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and systems, and report equipment issues or needed repairs.
* Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and general labor to maintain an orderly and safe work area.
* Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
* Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and mechanical hoists for the movement, staging, and loading/unloading of pipe, materials, machinery, and tools.
* Operate hand and power tools of all types, including impact guns/wrenches, grinders, band saws, drills, threading machines, and measuring instruments.
* Operate pipe-fabrication equipment such as pipe cutting machines, saws, beveling machines, threading machines, and pipe forming/bending equipment.
* Measure, cut, clean, bevel, and prepare pipe, fittings, and weld joints for fit-up.
* Fabricate and make up pipe connections using flanged, threaded, welded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, including bolt-up and torquing of flanged connections to spec.
