Description

SAIC is seek a Production Manager to join our team in Panama City, Florida.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all production operations at the Panama City Beach and Bedford facility for this entire program. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day production management, lead inspection and acceptance activities at PCB, and actively participate in customer meetings to provide accurate and timely updates on production status. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, detail-oriented leader with a proven track record in production management and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all production activities
  • Ensure production schedules are developed, maintained, and executed on time and within budget
  • Monitor workflow, resource allocation, and production efficiency
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or issues in a timely manner
  • Lead and coordinate all inspection and acceptance activities at PCB
  • Ensure all products/deliverables meet required quality standards and contractual requirements
  • Work closely with the Quality team to maintain compliance and resolve non-conformances
  • Participate in customer meetings, representing the production team
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports on all aspects of production status
  • Prepare and present production status reports, dashboards, and briefings as required
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the production team  in close coordination with the Production Manager at the Bedford, IN production facility
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Provide regular internal reporting to senior leadership on production metrics, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0)years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in production management or operations leadership
  • Demonstrated experience with inspection and acceptance processes
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, resources, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in production management tools and reporting software
  • Ability to work on-site at the Panama City Beach, FL location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the DOW industry and Government contracting mechanisms and a basic understanding of contract types Cost-Reimbursable and Firm Fixed Price
  • Familiarity with government or commercial contract requirements
  • PMP or similar project/operations management certification
  • Prior experience working in a production environment with formal inspection/acceptance requirements
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in a production or program environment

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance
