Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $130,000.00
Target Bonus: 15%

Position Summary

Lead the daily operation of the electrical panel assembly line, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of production plans. Own labor performance, throughput, schedule attainment, continuous improvement, and workforce development while driving operational excellence through effective leadership, problem solving, and process discipline. Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to achieve customer delivery, productivity, and quality objectives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute the production schedule; align labor and skills to meet takt and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure standard work execution through routine audits, coaching, and corrective actions to maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain for material availability and with Quality for in-process checks and defect containment.
  • Hire, onboard, train, coach, and evaluate Electrical Build Technicians; manage contractor performance.
  • Drive daily tier meetings, visual management, and problem-solving to remove constraints.
  • Lead line balancing and labor optimization activities to maximize throughput, productivity, and schedule attainment.
  • Identify bottlenecks, resource constraints, and capacity limitations and implement corrective actions to maintain production flow.
  • Manage labor utilization, overtime, and production costs to achieve operational and financial performance objectives.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs including schedule adherence, throughput, labor efficiency, first-pass yield, scrap/rework, safety performance, overtime utilization, and on-time shipment attainment.
  • Lead daily continuous improvement activities focused on labor efficiency, throughput, first-pass yield, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering on standard work development, process improvements, engineering change implementation, and production readiness activities; provide interim support when engineering resources are unavailable.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance.
  • Ensure all production personnel are trained, qualified, and certified to perform assigned tasks safely and effectively as well as cross trained to support production flexibility.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a production leadership role (assembly or panel build preferred).
  • Experience with production scheduling, labor planning, and performance management.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, EHS compliance, and Lean/5S methods.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification preferred.
  • Shop-floor leadership role with regular standing, walking, and interaction with tools and equipment in accordance with safety policies.
