Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery is a showcase for local farmers and food artisans. We buy from over 300 local producers to provide the community with a convenient and fun connection to those producers. We know every farm and every product has a story and we strive to tell the story while maintaining the high quality selection and competitive pricing. The Swamp Cafe is a fun and fast paced environment focused on serving delicious food with fresh seasonal and local ingredients. The Sandwich Production Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Line Cook and Prep Cook branches of the Cafe. The major accountability of the Sandwich Production Manager is to continuously focus on meeting and exceeding guests’ expectations with exceptional food and service as a primary goal while keeping up the employee morale, work ethic and overall cleanliness of the Cafe; as well as continuing to help the Cafe be profitable through regulating product usage, waste, and employee labor.


Requirements:

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Manages team of Line Cooks within our high volume Cafe department
  • Creates and maintains standards relating to production/wait times on made to order food; utilizes reports to track and improve wait time standards
  • Is responsible for troubleshooting consistency or quality issues; takes full ownership of reducing waste by limiting production mistakes
  • Responsible for the effective training of all new hires; conducts various trainings to ensure consistency, accuracy and understanding of all job functions
  • Works to continuously train and develop Assistant Managers in support of their career goals
  • Works with Kitchen General Manager to collaborate on new menu items; manages new menu roll out processes



SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have 3+ years of food management experience in a high volume setting
