Job description

Our client, an established tier 1 automotive supplier in the Upstate South Carolina area, is seeking a ProductionSupervisorto lead day-to-day operations within its metal stamping department. This position is responsible for ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with established quality and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and the ability to provide hands-on leadership in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production employees while ensuring adherence to daily production schedules

  • Monitor employee competencies, provide coaching and development, and conduct performance reviews

  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process

  • Ensure products are produced on time and meet established quality and workmanship standards

  • Monitor first-pass quality and ensure prescribed procedures are consistently followed

  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for production operations

  • Determine appropriate manpower and material resources needed to meet production requirements

  • Optimize resource utilization and overall production efficiency

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and applicable manufacturing requirements

  • Communicate expectations clearly across all levels of the production organization

  • Support cost, quality, productivity, and operational performance goals


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision or management

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and standards

  • Previous experience in a metal stamping or similar manufacturing environment strongly preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, and manage employees with different personalities and experience levels

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
