Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world's largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

Job Summary: Operates and tends all types of production machines such as punch press and feed systems, uni-punch, test equipment, deburring machines, drill presses, mill, molding press, solder print and reflow equipment to produce production parts and aid in the manufacturing of Engineering samples.

What you will be doing:

  • Aid in the building of Engineering sample orders.

  • Use of machine tools to include lathe, high-speed punch press, cut-off saws, de-burring equipment, drill presses and other associated equipment.

  • Setup and run Screen Printer and assemble PCB to shunts w/Engineering assistance.

  • Receives work assignments in the form of blueprint, technical specifications, sketch or drawing from Engineering as to type of parts that are to be produced.

  • May consult with Engineering regarding completeness of the specifications, prints, or sketches and to set up proper tooling, stock feeders, or whatever is required for proper machine to produce part.

  • Set-up stamping line, including some dies, per specifications and ensures all raw materials are present and correct.

  • When appropriate advise die makers of the set-up required for the product you will be running.

  • This may involve the use of any or all the equipment described above.

  • Maintains continuous visual inspection for imperfect parts and intermittently makes inspections of parts using micrometer, calipers, or inspection gauges, measuring microscopes and optical comparator

  • Ensures all materials and tools are used effectively.

What you will bring along:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • A familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment, and processes, also familiar with resistance testing and needs to be able to run machine tools such as milling machines.

  • Must be able to handle and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds as well as manipulate a wide size and weight range of metal stock and related materials.
