With over 30 production facilities in the US and Canada (and growing!), we provide comprehensive digital marketing services, commercial printing, warehousing amp; fulfillment, direct mail marketing, sign manufacturing amp; fabrication, and promotional products.
We are expanding at warp speed and are adding to our team – from our sales office and shop floor locations to our remote online team members. We are a diverse, creative, and passionate crew who is always looking to discover and implement fresh, innovative ideas and make some pretty amazing things.
JOB SUMMARY
The Press Helper will perform numerous machine operations to support the plant pressroom and total plant operations. Responsible for completing assigned tasks associated with press operation and maintenance. Responsible for assisting lead pressmen to ensure the quality of the finished product.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lift 25 lb stacks of printed sheets off the delivery end of the press.
  • Bundles 40 – 60 lb stacks of printed material off the delivery end of the press.
  • Places product on skids in an orderly fashion to ensure safe and efficient transport.
  • Uses an electric or manual jack to move skids away from the press.
  • Continually inspects the printed material for quality and alerts 1st or 2nd Operator of any problems.
  • Discards bad signatures due to blanket washes, dry-ups, mis-register, etc… after obtaining approval.
  • Preserve used plates, filing them in the racks.
  • Gum used plates as required.
  • Assist in press wash-ups.
  • Works in a safe manner at all times. Comply with work and safety rules.
  • Responds to communications concerning any quality concerns.
  • Maintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards. Keeps area around the press clean and clutter free.
  • Must have adequate reasoning skills - must be able to apply common sense and understanding to job related duties.
  • Must be team oriented - a team player, willing to work for the good of the total team.
  • Must have reliable transportation; be able to work days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays and willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Any and all other duties assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent, associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in printing industry preferred.
