About the Role


We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of custom mechanical products and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating accurate 3D models and technical drawings while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to bring designs to life.


You will be responsible for developing production-ready documentation, supporting product modifications, and ensuring designs meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards.


This position offers the opportunity to work on products that move from concept to production in a collaborative, hands-on manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and engineering documentation
  • Interpret customer requirements, specifications, and engineering instructions
  • Revise existing designs and drawings to support product improvements and custom applications
  • Generate manufacturing-ready drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, assemblers, and sales teams to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable
  • Utilize ERP systems to release and maintain engineering data

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience creating mechanical designs and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environment
  • Familiarity with machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience managing BOMs and engineering documentation within an ERP system
  • Experience supporting custom-engineered products
