Basic Job Functions:

The responsibilities of the Production Programmer include but are not limited to:

  • Creating nesting programs for hardware, shells, etc in plate and coil for production needs.
  • Entering those programs into the ERP software for consumption.
  • Working with the production control team to manage schedule of production through the show.
  • Verifying and staging of raw materials and consumables used for job specific production process.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor: therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficient in ProNest, Alma Cam, or similar CNC part nesting software.
  • Proficience in AutoCAD
  • Profiency in Microsoft Office programs
