Position Summary

The Central Production Control Specialist is an office-based role that uses centralized system-based tools to direct and manage production control across multiple ready-mix plants. This role sets batching priorities, manages production sequencing, and responds to real-time operational exceptions to support service levels, product consistency, and efficient resource use. This role partners closely with plant, dispatch, and quality teams to align production activities, while on-site teams execute physical operations.

This role provides centralized production control direction and does not perform physical plant operations.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Set and manage batching priorities and production sequencing across multiple ready-mix plants to align with demand, capacity, and operational constraints

  • Monitor production conditions and system performance, making real-time adjustments to maintain throughput, service levels, and product consistency

  • Identify and resolve production disruptions, capacity constraints, and sequencing conflicts across multiple locations

  • Administer Command Cloud (or equivalent) batching systems to support accurate, consistent, and compliant production control

  • Monitor system alerts and performance trends, taking action to maintain continuity, quality, and compliance

  • Partner with plant, dispatch, and quality teams to communicate production priorities and align batching decisions with scheduling needs, plant readiness, and quality requirements

  • Analyze production data, KPIs, and system outputs to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities

  • Generate reports and provide insights to support planning, escalation, and operational visibility

  • Recommend process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and resource utilization

What We Are Looking For

  • 3โ€“5+ years of experience in ready-mix, dispatch, production control, logistics coordination, or a similar multi-site operational environment

  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions, and react quickly in a fast-paced setting

  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders without direct authority

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and apply business rules effectively

  • Proficiency with batching systems, dispatch tools, ERP platforms, or cloud-based production systems

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey priorities and coordinate across teams

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and accuracy in system-driven environments

Work Environment
