Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Production Control Specialist to support production planning, labor tracking, and workflow coordination within our manufacturing operations.

This role will serve as the primary system expert and administrator for our ERP system, Global Shop Solutions (GSS), ensuring data integrity, system optimization, and effective utilization across departments. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate production data, supporting job routing and scheduling processes, troubleshooting system issues, and driving continuous improvement in ERP-related workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly tech-savvy, comfortable working across multiple systems, and capable of identifying and resolving system and process inefficiencies while supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Labor Tracking

• Maintain and update production data within ERP systems
• Track labor hours and job progress against established standards
• Monitor work orders and ensure accurate routing through production stages
• Identify delays or inconsistencies and communicate with appropriate teams

Routing & Workflow Coordination

• Develop and maintain labor routings for production processes
• Support job sequencing and workflow coordination across departments
• Assist with production scheduling and capacity visibility
• Ensure alignment between drawings, routing, and production execution

Reporting & Data Management

• Generate reports related to labor, production status, and efficiency
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of production data and documentation
• Support leadership with data needed for operational decisions

Process Support & Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies in workflows and escalate improvement opportunities
• Support implementation of process improvements
• Assist in maintaining standardized processes and documentation

Systems & Technical Support

• Work within ERP and production systems (Paycom, MBS, or similar)
• Troubleshoot basic system, data, and workflow issues across platforms
• Support integration and efficient use of digital tools in production
• Assist with improving system usage and automation where applicable

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or operations support and strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills.

Required:
• Experience with ERP or production tracking systems

• 2+ years experience in production control, manufacturing, or operations support
• Strong understanding of production workflows and job routing
• Proficiency with computers, software systems, and data entry platforms
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and basic data analysis ability
• Ability to troubleshoot basic software, system, or data issues
