Job description

Position Title: Bakery Production Associate

Type of Position: Hourly, 40 hours/week



Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 1:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Starting in April, production will transition to a 6-day schedule (Monday through Saturday)
  • Employees are assigned to designated coverage groups and will be required to work scheduled Saturdays
  • When scheduled for a Saturday shift, one weekday off will be provided based on group assignment

Position Summary:

The Bakery Production Associate is a key member of Michele’s Granola’s small-batch production team. This role supports all areas of production, including food preparation, baking, packaging, and sanitation, while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

This position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, working at a steady pace, lifting up to 50 pounds, and pushing up to 150 pounds.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all recipes, food handling, baking, packaging, and cleaning procedures
  • Maintain consistency in product quality and adhere to all quality assurance standards
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the shift, including dishwashing, sweeping, and equipment cleaning
  • Ensure a clean and safe production environment to prevent contamination and control allergens
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Report any production, equipment, or facility issues to management promptly
  • Support additional production, quality control, or facility needs as assigned

Production Duties:
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe specifications
  • Weigh and spread product onto sheet pans
  • Load and unload oven racks following safety and quality guidelines
  • Bake and cool product according to standards
  • Fill, weigh, label, and seal granola bags
  • Pack and label finished cases for distribution
  • Complete pre-shift, mid-shift, and end-of-shift cleaning tasks
