Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

The Production Associate supports brick manufacturing operations by performing repetitive, hands-on tasks in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves standing in one area for extended periods, moving and stacking bricks from kiln carts onto a monorail system, and assisting with mixing materials, equipment adjustments, and quality checks to ensure consistent and efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive general labor tasks by taking bricks from kiln carts and stacking them onto the monorail in a consistent and efficient manner.
  • Stand in a designated work area for extended periods while safely and continuously moving bricks.
  • Assist in all brick manufacturing operations as directed by production leadership.
  • Mix sands for sand applications and set up, operate, and maintain sand application processes.
  • Mix slurry for slurry applications and set up, operate, and maintain all aspects of slurry application processes.
  • Clean, maintain, install, and adjust dies, heads, and cutting blades used in the brick manufacturing process.
  • Monitor the quality of bricks being produced and promptly report any defects or irregularities.
  • Track production schedules and ensure paints and sands are prepared and available for product changeovers.
  • Maintain all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and accurately complete inventory tracking documents.
  • Observe, report, and assist with equipment maintenance and repairs in the department as directed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Lift and move materials, including bricks and related supplies, weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand basic mechanical processes.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and follow direction closely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
