Overview
The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.
 
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order and create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships.
 
Duties

1.      Assist  in  creating  a  pleasant  and  hospitable  work  environment  and  maintain  good  customer relationships.
 
2.      Assist, as required, with store operations.
 
3.      Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
 
4.      Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
 
5.      Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.
 
6.      Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
 
7.      Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.

 
8.      Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
 
9.      Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
 
10.  Be well-versed in and comply with  store policies as communicated.
 
11.  This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.
 
12.  Other  duties  as  may  be  assigned  by  immediate  supervisor,  Store  Supervisor, and/or Administrator.
 
Qualifications 
1.      Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
 
2.      Good customer service skills.
 
3.      Ability to understand and follow directions.
