Job description

TITLE: Senior Technical Product Writer
LOCATION: 405 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10174
We are looking for a passionate and confident Senior Technical Product Writer that will help us scale our content and data management platforms through thoughtful and useful product requirements documentation and user guides. You will be responsible for the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of user resources designed to aide developers and instruct end-users in the consumption of the platforms. User resources include product requirements, knowledge base, end-user documentation, how-to guides, eLearning’s, and overall product feature tours.
Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
  • Own the end-to-end content lifecycle by curating, editing, and creating the content
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders, implement improvements, ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and sets our users up for success
  • Develop and maintain detailed databases of updated and appropriate reference materials for each of our products
  • Product management duties for digital lines of business pertaining to content management systems, programmatic media ecosystem and technology
  • Experience architecting solutions that include automation, data management, integration technologies and deployed on cloud infrastructures
  • Ongoing documentation of feature releases and translation of new features into user guide content
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
  • Initiate programs by leading alignment on program scope, release planning, aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, create program structure, and securing cross-functional support.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of proven experience in technical writing and/or software documentation and/or product management.
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Ability to convey complex processes in easily comprehensible, yet concise terms, while keeping the relevant context in mind
  • Patience and persistence in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand software development projects and deployment/installation projects.
  • Motivator/manager of cross-functional teams - builds relationships to make things happen
  • Enthusiastic evangelist of project technology
  • Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
  • Working knowledge of cloud/SAAS product development programs; keen understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
