Jr. Product/Toy Designer 

We are looking to hire a Junior Toy Designer to help us keep growing! This individual will assist in creating fun, engaging, and innovative toys by supporting the design and development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and prototyping new toy concepts.
  • Create sketches, technical drawings, and production documents for product development.
  • Create concept renderings, layout designs, logo designs, package designs and presentations.
  • Identify emerging trends to ensure products remain relevant in the market.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and be vigilant to keep your projects moving forward to hit deadlines.
  • Analyze working concepts launched by competitors of similar products to match quality and performance.
  • Effectively communicate and interact with purchasing as it relates to assigned product lines.
  • Produce prototypes and test functionality. 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Design, Package Design, Industrial Design or equivalent degree.
  • 2 years + of experience in Consumer Goods, preferably Toys and/or Novelties, and packaging.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop are required.
  • Good understanding of color science and combinations.
  • Passion/knowledge of current trends in general as well as trends in pop culture, toys, electronics and fashion.
  • Strong knowledge of die-lines, construction, typography and layout.
  • Knowledge of print production with ability to review and correct color proofs.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Skill in brainstorming and ideation with strong sketching and rendering skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
