Laboratory Supervisor - Fridley, MN

What are we looking for?

The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the routine analysis, testing, and other handling of samples, thus insuring the accurate and timely collection and reporting of information to clients.

Shift/Schedule: First Shift  Monday - Friday  7:30am - 4:00pm

Salary & Benefits Information

The salary range for this position is $90k to $105k per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

  • Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with total adherence to: The Company's Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, Quality Management System, Compliance and Ethics Policies, Vision, Mission and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy
  • Manage and ensure quality requirements as stated in the laboratory Quality Manual
  • Responsible for manpower requirements, projections, and utilization and employee work assignments
  • Responsible for all equipment calibration, supplies, area efficiency, productivity, and development
  • Ensure invoicing is submitted timely
  • Assist sales, etc. with quotes, tours, promoting sales and customer service
  • Perform testing on a variety of products to established procedures as required
  • Responsible for the training of less experienced employees

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, or Technologist Diploma with relevant work experience; in a related science or engineering field
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory type work experience
  • 1 year supervisory experience is an asset
  • 2 years project management experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of manufacturing systems
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in both verbal and written format
  • Strong knowledge of Windows based products including data analysis
  • Positive attitude, a high tolerance for job pressure and long hours, and the ability for working and communicating with persons of diverse personalities and backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required
