Job Description

**2nd Shift Position

We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor with previous quality control experience in the food industry. This position consists of testing and sampling all products and ensuring that we are producing a safe, great tasting, quality product that meets our specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate HACCP compliance.
  • Oversee product sampling and analysis process.
  • Participate in microbiological control program.
  • Ensure all products meet quality and safety specifications via product testing.
  • Calculate adjustments to batches and alter batches to meet specs.
  • Participate in quality and sanitation programs.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise three lab techs, product compounding, and pasteurization. This is a hands-on position requiring the learning, operating, and problem solving in these areas.
  • Work closely with other departments to facilitate production output and quality.
  • Assist in production supervision as needed.
  • Facilitate regulatory compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Food Science or other related science discipline
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous QC Experience
  • Knowledge of GMP's, SSOP's and HAACP (HAACP Certification a plus)
  • Experience in a food production facility a plus
  • Must be available to work flexible hours
