LOCATION:This position is an onsite role, based in Twin Falls, Idaho at the Clif Bar Plant.

What you need to know about this position:

The Process Quality Leader is a compassionate leader responsible for ensuring that the end-to-end manufacturing process is compliant with all Quality and Food Safety requirements to meet and exceed the expectations of our consumers and customers. This includes ownership of specific program elements such as traceability, specification management, HACCP, X-Ray & Metal Detection, net content, hold and release, etc. Additionally, the Process Quality Leader will partner with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and eliminate quality losses - including consumer complaints - using Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6s) tools.

How you will contribute

You will ensure that all quality objectives, goals and targets in the factory (including regional and global commitments) are met. You will develop and track your department's budget and eliminate losses. With your team, you will conduct regular plan-do-act-check assessments to plan how targets will be met, executing the plan and periodically checking and taking action to stay on track. In addition, you will ensure that there is strict adherence with all appropriate laws, food safety quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products and manage crisis situations internally and externally in ways that support the company's image, policies and business. As a people leader, you are responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members.

  • Lead and manage a team of Food Safety & Quality Specialists/Technicians that audit the manufacturing lines to ensure all Quality and Food Safety requirements are compliant during production.
  • Organize, motivate, and coach the core team on desired outcomes, driving the Quality culture agenda on the production floor.
  • Manage team expectations, schedule and ensure proactive support.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for consumer complaints and quality losses.
  • Apply Integrated Lean Six Sigma tools to drive measurable improvements in quality performance.
  • Develop and manage key food safety metrics, analyze data trends, and provide regular reports to leadership, identifying areas for improvement and demonstrating the impact of the food safety program.

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive food safety training programs for all levels of employees, including specialized training on emerging trends, new regulations, and advanced risk mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a food safety and quality expert, providing guidance and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, etc.) to ensure food safety is seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the business.

Audit & Regulatory

  • Support internal and external food safety & quality audits, ensuring continuous compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Ensure programs are always audit-ready.
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Required Experience: Education / Certifications:

  • 5 years of experience in Quality/Food Safety within a food manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Lean Six Sigma (Total Productive Maintenance) tools to address quality losses
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulatory requirements
  • Advanced computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and excellent MS Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education & Certifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a science-related field: Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or equivalent preferred
  • PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification
  • HACCP certification
  • FSSC 22,000 knowledge
  • SAP knowledge

Travel requirements:

  • Traveling is minimal for this role. This position is 100% based on-site. Home office is not available.

Work schedule:

  • Normal office hours on weekdays, although flexibility in scheduling may be required to support sporadically on weekends and off-hours to connect with the core team and the Quality Specialists.

Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $97,300 to $133,815; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements.
