Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a Product Owner to join our team. This role will focus on developing and delivering new capabilities, supporting existing infrastructure and systems, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements. As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing product development processes in an Agile environment, including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder communications.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders and Agile teams, translating business needs into actionable product requirements.
- Requirements Management: Develop and define product requirements as Epics, Features, and User Stories. Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Agile Team Leadership: Lead and support the scrum team in defining and delivering features. Manage the product backlog, prioritize items, and ensure the team stays focused on high-value work.
- Backlog and Sprint Planning: Lead backlog management, including prioritizing tasks, preparing for sprint planning, and refining user stories. Facilitate meetings to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve product development processes. Coordinate across business and technical teams to ensure timely access to information and resources.
- Product Communication: Keep stakeholders informed of product progress and adjustments. Ensure that the development team has the resources and information needed to meet sprint objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system or process improvements and lead efforts to optimize performance and functionality.
Required Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience related to specific functional area.
  • Certifications: Active certifications for both IAT Level II (e.g. CompTIA Security+) and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) Infrastructure Support (e.g. CompTIA Cloud+) by program onboarding date.
  • The following individual certifications cover both certification requirements for this program: CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, CySA+; EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND); GlAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional, GICSP; (ISC)2 System Security Certified Practitioner (SCCP).
 
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge with the following:
  • Minimum of three years of experience capturing and writing User Stories.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a system engineering or software application environment.
  • Experience working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or Agile/Iterative software development methodology including Scrum environment
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principals
  • Ability to work with large teams
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated technical writing.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and on-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority.
  • Must demonstrate strong teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agile development experience
  • PMP
  • Understanding of Agile development tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)
  • AWS or other Cloud certifications
  • Linux Systems administration or Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience supporting full lifecyle A&A process for classified DoD or IC infrastructure and application service delivery.
