Product Operations Lead

Peregrine Technologies

San Francisco, CA • On-site

$125K - $175K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society's challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence - instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people - and we're amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.
Role
As Peregrine's Product organization scales, we're investing in our first dedicated Product Operations hire. This role will help define how Product operates-from how we measure success, to how we launch features, to how we continuously improve the way we work.
You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Customer Delivery, Sales Enablement, and Training to build the systems, metrics, and operational rhythms that allow the team to move faster with greater confidence. Rather than owning a product roadmap yourself, you'll own the operating model that enables every roadmap to be executed more effectively.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, loves solving operational problems, and wants to help shape how a growing product organization scales.
What You'll Own
Metrics & Reporting
  • Curate and maintain Peregrine's core product metrics library - definitions, owners, and calculation logic
  • Own the data and dashboards behind Monthly Business Reviews and quarterly/annual planning cycles
  • Validate metric correctness as new features ship; add instrumentation directly or work with engineers to add
  • Work across a toolset including Amplitude, Datadog, and dogfood our own product
Launch & Rollout Coordination
  • Drive the operational plan for betas and broader rollouts and launches - tracking readiness across Training, CA, Sales Enablement, DS, Marketing, and Documentation
  • Maintain a shared view of launch status, exit criteria, and early signal against success metrics
  • Run structured post-launch retrospectives and circulate findings to the PM team
PM Team Enablement
  • Maintain the PM team's operational rhythm: OKR tracking, roadmap tooling hygiene
  • Build and maintain playbooks so feature onboarding and recurring processes don't rely on tribal knowledge
  • Ensure feedback loops from early adopters and EAP participants are closed and documented
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years in product operations, business operations, strategy & analytics, statistics, or a PM-adjacent role in enterprise SaaS
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable in Python, SQL, Amplitude, or similar tools; you can build a dashboard and also interrogate whether it's measuring the right thing
  • AI-forward thinking - how do you leverage the latest AI tools to automate and scale yourself and your workflows
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional launches or programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Clear, concise written communication - you write docs that people actually read and are strong at synthesizing data and trends
  • Comfort with ambiguity; able to identify what structure is missing and create it without waiting to be asked
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with public sector compliance requirements
  • Prior exposure to data science/engineering or instrumentation pipelines
