Job description

Product Manager

Investors can purchase our crypto ETPs easily, safely and securely in a regulated framework on the SIX Swiss Exchange in USD, Euros and GBP, on BX Swiss in CHF, on Boerse Stuttgart in Euros, on DB Xetra as well as Wiener Boerse (Vienna Exchange) in Euros. We offer the most expansive suite of crypto ETPs available on regulated European exchanges.

Founded in 2018, 21Shares is led by a team of talented entrepreneurs and experienced professionals from the asset management and banking industry. Headquartered in Zurich, the company has launched several exchange-traded products such as NEAR and ONDO in the last twelve months.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own the ongoing success of a market by determining which platform capabilities, workflows, and controls should be built to support both initial market entry and long-term scale. This role sits within the technology organization, reporting to the SVP of Technology Products, and is responsible for translating market requirements into scalable platform capabilities rather than bespoke implementations.

The Product Manager partners closely with regional business teams and works deeply with engineering to understand system constraints, evaluate tradeoffs, and prioritize investments based on ROI, operational risk reduction, and long-term platform scalability. The role is accountable for ensuring markets remain reliable, scalable, and economically viable throughout their lifecycle.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with regional business teams to support market launches and ongoing operations, evaluating requests and prioritizing development
  • Translate market priorities into clear, system-aware product requirements and capability proposals
  • Work closely with Engineers and QA to understand system behavior end-to-end and shape scalable product solutions
  • Identify system dependencies, workflow constraints, and operational risks before committing to product investments
  • Prioritize product investments based on ROI, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and cross-market scalability
  • Use AI tools to accelerate synthesis, documentation, and early prototyping while retaining ownership of product judgment and decisions
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years experience in product management, operations, or consulting with direct exposure to building or evolving real systems
  • Experience in capital markets, asset management, custody, trading, ETF/ETP lifecycle, or fund operations environments
  • Ability to reason about complex systems, workflows, and tradeoffs, beyond documenting requirements
  • Ability to work closely with engineers and technical leads to shape solutions while respecting technical constraints
  • Ability to synthesize complex inputs, identify hidden complexity, challenge assumptions, surface risks early, and present structured recommendations
  • Disciplined use of AI tools to accelerate analysis and execution without outsourcing judgment
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments where decisions must be made with incomplete information
Nice To Have
  • Exposure to fintech, crypto, or regulated products
  • Experience working with internal platforms, operational workflows, or data systems
  • Technical background or strong technical curiosity, with the ability to engage in technical discussions
