Job description

Job Description
Fabletics is currently looking for a Product Manager II.
The Fabletics Retail Technology team is building the in-store experience of the future. We support over 115+ stores with an ecosystem of proprietary Point-of-Sale systems, advanced RFID inventory tools, and associate selling companions. We operate at the intersection of digital innovation and physical retail.
How do you fit in?
As a Product Manager II for Retail Technology, you will independently lead small-to-medium initiatives and platform enhancements that power the Fabletics in-store ecosystem across web, mobile web, and app. You will act as the primary product manager for field support workflows, system integrations, and rapid response technical enhancements within our proprietary Pointof-Sale and back-office tools.
This role requires a unique blend of formal product management skills, a solid understanding of retail operations, and strong technical acumen. You will be the crucial bridge between our store operations and our engineering groups, managing escalations, prioritizing technical debt, and scoping scalable backend integrations. Because we build for physical environments, you will be expected to support stores directly, periodically traveling to retail locations for in-person testing, deployments, and associate shadowing. We are also looking for a highly AI-driven individual who actively leverages tools like Claude to create daily efficiencies in their own workflow.
This position will report to the Director of Product Management, Retail Technology.
What you will do:
  • Platform Optimization & Delivery: Own prioritization and execution of small-mid enhancements; improve reliability, reduce tech debt, and drive operational efficiency across the retail tech stack.
  • Product Discovery & Design: Partner with UX/Design to lead discovery, develop wireframes, and deliver customer-first solutions for store associates.
  • Engineering Partnerships: Collaborate with retail engineering and cross-functional platform teams; validate feasibility and manage system dependencies and integrations.
  • Requirements & Documentation: Translate business needs and field insights into clear PRDs, technical specs, and business logic.
  • Agile Execution & Rollout: Manage day-to-day agile delivery-user stories, MVPs, sprint planning, QA/UAT, and in-store rollouts.
  • Field Support & Triage: Own escalations, triage issues, and prioritize fixes; support stores through testing, pilots, and on-site validation.
  • Monitor & Iterate: Use data to track performance and iterate; tie improvements to business impact (e.g., POS uptime, resolution time).
  • Experimentation & Research: Run A/B tests and conduct market research to inform product direction.
  • AI-Driven Efficiency: Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) to streamline documentation, analysis, and workflows.

What you can bring:
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in product management or digital/ecommerce roles, ideally with a history in highly technical products, Retail Operations, Point-of-Sale systems, or enterprise support systems.
  • Willingness to Travel: Required to travel 10 to 20% of the time to local or regional retail stores for in-person support, deployments, and field testing.
  • Strong Technical Acumen: Highly comfortable diving into system architectures, reading API documentation, navigating data structures, and working dynamically with engineers.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and gain alignment across highly matrixed stakeholders.
  • Proficient in writing precise user stories, defining MVPs, and interpreting analytics.
  • Passionate about improving customer experiences across web and mobile platforms, as well as the associate experience natively in-store.
  • Data-informed decision-making, root-cause analysis, and strong attention to detail.
  • AI-Forward Mindset: Demonstrated experience using Generative AI (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to supercharge your daily workflows.
  • Ideal candidate brings foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.

Proficient In:
  • Jira, Confluence, Asana, Microsoft Teams
  • Comfortable with API testing concepts (e.g., Postman), basic data queries, and understanding system-to-system integrations.
  • Figma, User Testing, Miro
  • Tableau, Heap, LaunchDarkly or similar data analytics platform and experimentation tooling.
  • CMS & Architecture: Headless CMS and Commerce Architecture. Familiarity with iOS native apps, mobile hardware integrations (payment terminals, RFID scanners, receipt printers), and omnichannel architecture.
  • AI Tools: Claude (including system prompts, skills, and projects), ChatGPT, and a general appetite for agentic automation.

Where We Are:
  • This role is remote-friendly, with headquarters based in El Segundo, CA
