Position Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for supporting the development, launch, and lifecycle management of complex hardware or software products. This role contributes to planning, coordination, and execution activities from initial concept through production, release, and eventual end-of-life.

The Product Manager works closely with customers and collaborates daily with Product Line Management, Program Management, and Engineering to ensure products align with market needs and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership & Lifecycle Support
    • Contributes to managing a productโ€™s lifecycle from concept through retirement, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Works as a key partner with engineering, marketing, business development, and leadership teams to support coordinated product development, positioning, and execution.
  • Go-to-Market Support
    • Assists in developing launch plans for new products and supports the transition of legacy products.
    • Works closely with engineering and operations on new product introduction (NPI) and ensures alignment with go-to-market strategies.
  • Requirements Development
    • Supports the creation of technical and business requirements, user stories, and product specifications for Program Management, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis
    • Conducts market analysis, gathers customer insights, and tracks competitive trends to help identify opportunities for product improvements or new offerings.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement
    • Engages with customers to understand needs and challenges, bringing feedback into product planning.
    • Collaborates with Engineering and Operations to ensure customer issues are addressed.
  • Risk Identification
    • Helps identify product and project risks and works with cross-functional teams on mitigation strategies.
  • Product Reporting & Communication
    • Reviews product performance metrics, helps identify areas for improvement, and communicates updates to stakeholders as needed.
  • Financial & Budget Support
    • Assists with budgeting for product line R&D and sustainment activities and helps monitor financial performance for assigned products.
  • Process Improvement
    • Supports continuous improvement initiatives in product development, manufacturing efficiency, cost management, and quality assurance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 yearsโ€™ experience in a technical development or product-related environment.
  • Knowledge of UAS systems and products.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience supporting both R&D and product sustainment activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastโ€‘paced, deadlineโ€‘driven environment with broad responsibilities.
  • Strong initiative and commitment to achieving goals and supporting team objectives.
  • Collaborative mindset, prioritizing team success over individual interests.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
