As a Senior Product Manager for Platform Security & Infrastructure, you will bring technical expertise, creativity, and focus for impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Managing delivery roadmaps to ensure critical capacity and feature goals are met.

  • Operationalizing paved paths for security, ensuring composable and extensible tools, while defining trustworthy remote vendor support mechanisms for infrastructure access.

  • Developing comprehensive business analysis and financial models to support business cases and long‑term product planning.

  • Supporting internal teams, developers, and stakeholders while scaling systems to meet evolving product needs.

  • Managing the lifecycle of core system components by making high‑impact, data‑driven decisions on technical debt, from strategic refactoring to executing product End‑of‑Life when necessary.

  • Collaborating with hardware vendors and suppliers, influencing their roadmap and processes to align with product goals and objectives effectively.

  • Representing various user objectives while identifying enhancements for proactive monitoring, support processes, escalation workflows, and both planned and unplanned maintenance.

  • Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.

  • Have maintained a customer first focus even if/when the customers are internal engineers, prioritizing automation, usability and low‑friction integration.

  • Have a good understanding of compute resource management, rack orchestration, and hardware‑level APIs.

  • Apply knowledge of routing management, IP configuration, and network redundancy.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing both business and technical models.

  • Maintain familiarity with authentication protocols and enterprise security requirements.

  • Build relationships and secure buy‑in from engineering teams regarding new goals.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 - $250,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
