Job Description
This Ag Faculty member provides instruction in modern agricultural operations with an emphasis on agricultural equipment systems, applied maintenance, and operational decision-making. This position prepares students for careers in production agriculture, equipment support, and ag service roles by integrating hands-on technical skills with real-world farm operations, safety, and emerging agricultural technologies. The faculty member teaches across farm operations, equipment use and upkeep, and applied diagnostics, supporting students' ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot agricultural machinery within the broader context of farm systems, productivity, and efficiency. Instruction reflects current industry practices and workforce needs, including precision agriculture tools, equipment technology, and preventative maintenance strategies.
Salary Range:
$43,912 - $95,542: Dependent on education and years of experience, there are step limits in the contract that we are limited to, with the highest salary delegated at around $71,893.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in agriculture, agriculture education, finance, economics or business.
  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience in agricultural production, agricultural management, or agricultural extension services.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

* These courses shall be waived for individuals who at the time of hire have: a degree in education, or have documented evidence of successful completion of equivalent coursework in the specified teaching and learning content areas, or have three years of successful, full-time (or equivalent) secondary, postsecondary, industry, or trade apprenticeship teaching experience in the field for which they are being hired. (Procedure 3.32.1 College Faculty Credentialing, Part 5, Subpart B.2)
** This course shall be waived for individuals who, at the time of hire, have documented evidence of successful completion of equivalent coursework. (Procedure 3.32.1 College Faculty Credentialing, Part 5, Subpart B.3)
