Job description

The Innovation Engineer will serve as the WDP's technology scout and lead integrator, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and infusing cutting-edge capabilities into the platform. This person will build and foster strategic relationships with industry partners, academia, and the open-source community to continuously analyze the latest advances in data, analytic, and AI technologies. They will be responsible for the hands-on technical work of preparing, securing, and integrating selected third-party tools and services into the WDP ecosystem. The Innovation Engineer will also act as a technical liaison, assisting and guiding vendor engineers to ensure their products meet the WDP's rigorous technical and security standards. The primary objective of this role is to accelerate the delivery of best-in-class capabilities to the warfighter by ensuring the WDP remains at the forefront of technology.

Requirements

  • SECRET Security Clearance Required
  • We are actively seeking multiple levels:
    • Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
  • Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
